Hi Grandma! Visited this cathedral over the weekend--it is amazingly beautiful! There are all kinds of shrines to people all around it, and the really important people get their likeness carved out of stone or marble and laid on top of their tomb--there must be 15 or 20 of those alone around the cathedral, not counting all kinds of other shrines and plaques remembering one person or another. Everything is so magestical--carved stone surrounding you (that's what the building is made of) and carved wood up where the important people sit. It was really overcast the day I was there, so it wasn't as beautiful as the picture, but it's almost better, I saw the cathedral itself and not just the view. Take care--I LOVE YOU -Vickie
