2 Fresh and moderate breeze north these 24 hours with clear fine weather - Sea smooth - General duties for the day - Barometer 30.27 to 30.04 - 1st asst went fishing - 2nd asst digging clams on the beach and cording wood for keeper & assts one half mile from the station.

3 Fresh and moderate breeze north these 24 hours - First part of 24 hours thick damp fog - Last part of 24 hours thick fog and fair weather - Sea smooth - Barometer 30.02 - 2nd asst went for a short walk - General duties for day - Keeper went to Newport after supplies. Had four visitors today.

By order of Major W.L.Langfit Engineer 13th Light House District the keeper of this station is authorized to expend $250.00 in repairing road leading to the station - Keeper has employed Mr. Briggs - Mr. Birch - Mr. Ford and Mr. Greenbrooks.

12 Light S. wind and calm these 24 hours with fair weather and little damp - Sea smooth - Barometer 29.90 to 29.95 - Keeper & assts painting on covering of workroom lead collor painting steps of dwelling base of wood shed & whiteing fences - Keeper went over on road to oversee the men working there - 2nd asst went three miles from the station on important business - Keeper and assts emptying 200 gallons of mineral oil in oil butts - Had four visitors could not show them in tower on account of paint.
