619 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Sep 28 1888 Virginia Street Tax Levy Ordered that a tax of One hundred and fifty one (151) Mills on each and every dollar of the assessed valuation of all propertyincluded within the assessment district created by Ord No 938 be and the same hereby is lveied on said property for the purpose of paying for the improvement of Virginia Street from West Street to Fourth Street in the City of Seattle. The Clerksubmits an ordinance entitled "An ordinance to pay audited bills" which is passed by the following vote: Burns, Durie, Green , Jones, McCoombs McDonald and Reitze Against same none. Ordered that the Councildonow adjourn Approved Robert H Moran mayor Attest C W Ferris dep clerk Oct 5 1888 Be it remembered that on the 5th day of October A D 1888 The Common Council of the City of Seattle met in their Council Chamber in the City Hall pursuant to law. 649 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEATTLE Nov 2 1888 Ordinances 1009 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance to provide for a Special City Election that voters of the City may vote for or against the erection of said City of Certain Water Works" Which said Ordinance after due consideration is passed by the following vote, viz: In favor of the same Burns, Durie, Green, McCombs, McDonald & Reitze. Against the same, none. 1010 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled "An Ordinance to locate and establish a public Street extending from a point on the North Marginal line of Charles Street produced in Plummer addition to the City of Seattle where the same intersects the west marginal line of South Ninth Street to the west line of the city limits in the waters of Elliott's Bay" Which is passed by the following vote, viz: In favor of the same Burns, Durie, Green, McCombs, McDonald & Reitze. Against the same, none. 1011 An Ordinance is submitted by the City Attorney entitled " An Ordinance to locate and establish a public street extending from a point on the North Marginal line of Dearborn Street produced in Charles Terry's Fifth Addition to the City of Seattle where the same intersects the west marginal line of Eighth Street to the West Line of the City limits in the Waters of Elliot's Bay" Which is passed by the following vote, to wit: In favor of the same Burns, Durie, Green, Mc Combs, McDonald & Reitze. 650 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Nov 2 1888 a punishment for the violation of such regulations which is passed by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Burns, Durie, Green McCombs, McDonald and Reitze against the same None. An Ordinance is submitted by the City Clerk entitled "A Special Ordinance appropriating money to pay audited bills" which is passed by the following vote viz: In favor of the same Burns, Durie, Green, McCombs, McDonald and Reitze against the same None. Ordered that the Ordinance regulating rates of the Lake Union Water Company be referred to the Fire and Water Committee to be reported on at the first regular meeting in December.
