We your committee on Water Works, beg to recommend that the contract with Mr.Mead, for extension of the artesian Water Supply together with the ordinance written by the city Attorney, both of whuch are hereto attached, be approved.

We, the undersigned tax payers and residents of the D Portwood "add" to the City of Fort Worth Texas and adjacent property, do repectfully petition and urge that your honorable body will construct or cause to be constructed a bridge across the small creek or branch bounding said add or the North By reason of adjoining propert owners fencing in their premises and declaring the use of have for public highway we are sheet out completely from egress and ingrass to the city of Ft Worth other than over lot 8 of S. Portwood Add this day deeded to the Public for a highway but said higheway being impossible without the construction of bridge across creek above referred to Urging prompt investigation and action on your part we hereto subscribe our hands this the 11th day of June A.D. 1900 M.C.
