Good to talk to you tonight mom! Congats to Murray! I tried to call him tonight but he wasn't home. I had dinner and went to a party w/ Marc McEnroe tonight in London - he's visiting a friend from N.Y. here. It was fun - says I can probably go to Wimbledon.

Dear Murray,

Great to talk to you today! Im sorry that I had to run off - I wanted to talk for so much longer. Call any time though :). It'd been too long since I'd heard your voice! The whole bus was waiting for me so I had no choice but to hang up. Our trip to Oxford was really fun - I liked the colleges & town a lot. I think it'll work out well having Stanford there. I just got back from seeing Tootsie, going to dinner at the place your recommended - [?] - and going to a pub in Maidenhead. A new ale or something was introduced tonight at the pub and sold for 30 P a pint so there are a bunch of very trashed boys that just arrived home that are getting wild and were just as wet - I'm not sure where from - they should be getting sick about now I'd bet. So - nothing much has changed at Cliveden I suppose! The guys who went to Sv. Union got back tonight. I just talked to them for a few mins - Bruce B & Robert went and got very different impression that I did which is interesting - they couldn't wait to leave thought reports were being written on them. The KGB was getting info from their tour guide. People were scard to talk to them [?] - none of which I felt. Tomorrow I'm going into London w/ a bunch of people - there's a big anti-nuke thing and a concert from 12-6 free and then Sandy (a Sigma-chi, as you know him?) and I are going to try and get tickets

to Cats which is sold out for weeks - we'll see. We set up a tennis ladder today - there's only one other girl on it and a million guys - so I have to get to work on that! I'd love to beat some of the cocky guys :) I have to learn how to say forehand, backhand, turn, step & hit in German for this summer! Well, congrats again on your Harvard acceptance!!! Are you for sure going there? Those footsteps for me to follow get tougher all the time Murray! Your new car sounds pretty great too. Times are tough for you these days I guess! What's happening w/ Jennifer? I don't know her except I've met her briefly & heard about her through Shiela last quarter - s ounds like a nice girl. You always fall for the blondes don't you! Did the wallet work out - I didn't know what you needed in the so if its not right don't feel badly about not using it & anything. I'm listening to a tape of Vienna walzes and polkas and its making me nostalgic of last year and the balls! My work has piled up miles high - 2 presentations to give next week so some studying will have to actually take place this weekend. I don't feel like I've spent much time at Cliveden - actually only about 12 days in 6 weeks. Spain was really fun - I wrote home all about it. one of the roommates just came in - and it's 12.30 am - about 2 hrs past their bedtimes! What Cliveden news can I give you? [Cheffs?] food stinks. The red couch hasn't been used much this [?] I'm not having any sort of

anything w/ our RA. I still don't know how that one got started & don't barely know Staphl (sp?) even, the porter & kitchen help guy (Neil & Ben & Dave) are fun, the maids are great, the gardners are nice, the cabbies love to talk and burn you when you don't faster your seat belt, there are a group of losers here amidst a group of super fun people this str., while having a boat dance on the Thames, the daffodils are all dying now but the countryside is beautiful & bright green (reminds me of Conn. in spring), getting mail is as wonderful as ever (hint, hint :) ) - esp from your favorite older brother. And the post's being repainted so isn't full yet. I feel like theres not enough time to do everything, see everwhere, call everyone I'm supposed to (I hate these stupid phones that bing when you need to put a in). I think its funny how [?] preps are called Sloane-Rangers or Hooray-Henry's, and English guys still don't beat austrians in the "ugliest men in the world" contest - mainly only because they have accents on their side. I can't believe you're out of college in about a month!!! I feel really badly for not being there for graduation. don't think this means that you can miss mine or anything - no such dice, unless you have as good an excuse as mine. I can't believe a year from now I'll be interviewing etc how scary. Are you ready to leave Stanford or not? Say hi to Steve for me - tell him congrats on IFC. Mom likes him. Phil Chalk says hi to you, as does Robert, Rod, Bruce etc. Orlando is a funny guy! All the guys are piercing their ears -
