Very tired. Lunch at Hearth with Ethel Mason Fred Pischel took me to see Hindle Wakes & then brough[t] me home

Thursday 6

Got down early but so tired I had to come home & go to bed at 2.30. Dinner at Parkway

Friday 7

Went to Senatorial Vice Com - Hearing at La Salle. Feeling utterly defeated & worn out.

Sat. Mar. 8, 1913

Went to office at 10. Went to French at 5.30 Back to office & all worked till nine.

Sunday 9

Got up at nine. Room too cold to endure so went to office. Then to League meeting A party of us dined at Henrici's Then Miss Galvin & I went to "The Lady from Oklahoma".

Monday 10

Got down early worked on Vice Investigation article. Worked till 9.45 then came home. Mild day

Tues. Mar 11, 1913

Worked till 11 at night on Lilian's Washington article

Wednesday 12

So exhausted that I had to come home in the afternoon & sleep at 3 Dinner at Lincoln Park Way

Thursday 13

Went to hear Clara Butt - great treat.

Fri. Mar 14, 1913

In bed all day - not well. Lilian came to see me & brought roses House bitterly cold

Saturday 15

Feeling very miserable & weak. Went to French at 5.30. Back to town to eat with Lilian & Miss G.

Sunday 16

Worked in office till 5. Dinner at Ontario hotel with Lilian & went home with her for the night Breakfast with the Mavericks.

Mon. Mar. 17, 1913

['Helped Ethel Mason with vice article got home at 10 o clock' crossed out] Went to Saul at noon. Got home at 7 exhausted. House cold.
