To the Honorable the President and Members of the Board of Aldermen of the City of Seattle

Gentlemen

The undersigned property- owners and tax-payers respectfully ask your Hon Body to order the construction of a sewer on Cedar Street from Fourth Street to Water Street thence along Water Street to a connection with the sewer on Vine Street. A good many buildings have been erected on Cedar Street others are under construction or contemplated. Said sewer to be constructed at the expence of the City of Seattle and not at the expense of abutting property. Hoping your Hon Body will act without delay in that matter we remain respectfully yours.

To the Honorable Mayor, Board of Aldermen and House Delegates of the City of Seattle Gentlemen:- We the undersigned petitioners, residing on and in the vacinity of Depot Street and Fifth Streets, would most respectfully represent that Fifth Street, between Depot Street and Vine Street, is in a very bad condition, rendering it almost impassible for travel and we earnestly request your Honorable bodies to plank the West side of said Fifth Street from Depot Street to Vine Street, a distance of one block and your petitioners will ever pray.

Referred to Committee on Streets and Street Improvements From the Columbia and Puget Sound Railroad Co et al for the grading of Jackson Street from the West side of Second Street to Elliott's Bay. Referred to the Judiciary & Legislative Committee with instructions to submit an Ordinance to provide for the improvements. Reports of Committee Received From Finance approving Treasurers Report adopted From Finance recommending the adoption of an Ordinance to amend Section 3 of Ordinance No 246 Adopted From Streets and Street Improvements condemning sidewalk fronting Lot 8 in Block 37 of Boren's plat. Adopted From Streets and Street Improvements on the matter of grading a portion of Pine Street. Laid on the table From Gas Light recommending the placing of a gas light corner of Mill & Terrace Streets. Adopted & Committee instructed From Streets and Street Improvements condemning sidewalk fronting Lot 8 in Block 37 of Boren's plat. Adopted
