Resolutions of the Mass Meeting of the 5th ward citizens:

June 27th, I904.

Ist:-

Be it resolved by the Mass Meeting here assembled that we feel very keenly the failure of our City Council to put up a suitable building for our school children, and he it further resolved that we will not abate one jot or tittle of our interest and agatation for such a building until our wishes are complied with.

2nd:-

And be it hereby declared that we do not most earnestly condem the action of the City Council and Finance Committee in using or entertaining the proposition to use any part of the $9000.00 Insurance money for any other purpose than the rebuilding of the 5th ward school.

3rd:-

And that we insist that the City Council, The Mayor and Finance Committee be called upon to make their retranchment in some other department than that of the schools of our City and particularly at the expense of the 57th Ward School.

4th:-

That while this ward is the most populus and largest ward of the City, with the largest schoolastic population, that it is a disgrace to the City Officials and the City of Ft Worth and an insult to the voters and tax payers of the 5th ward that we are without a suitable building for school purposes.
