J. D. COLLETT.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, JULY 15" 1904.

To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of Fort Worth.

Gentlemen:---

Your petitioner, Jno. B. Trice, Administrator of the estate of S. E. Trice, Dece ased, respectfully represents that said Addition of Fort Worth, situated at the South West corner of Ninth and Houston Streets, and known as the Triangle Building.

Your petitioner further represents that the portion of the expense of paving Houston Street, which has been charged to this property is 167 1-2 square yards, ($381.23) and that the total area of the said lot is only 289 square yards. The depth of said lot at the North End is only 11 feet 6 inches, and at the South end only 54 ft. 6 inches, making an average depth of only about 33 feet, or approximately one third of the depth of the ordinary Houston Street lot.

The property abutting said lot in the rear in known as Hyde Park and owned by the City of Fort Worth.

Your petitioner respectfully submits that the area of paving which has been charged against the average property owner on Houston Street is approximately 20% of the area of his lot of lots; while, in this case, yoru petitioner is called upon to pay for paving to the extent of 60% of the area of his property-- or in other words about three times as much as other property owners on the street.

In view of the fact that the City of Fort Worth owns the abutting property, and is therefore benefitted by said paving, it is the request of your petitioner that the City of Fort Worth pay it's proportion of the paving bill charged against said lot, and that the matter be referred to a proper committee for investigation and report.

Respectfully,

Jno. B. TRICE, Administrator, by J. D. Coollett.

To the Honorable City Council, City of Fort Worth.

Gentlemen:-

Frank J. Robinson, a citizen of Fort Worth, residing at 1427 South Calhoun Street, hereby presents to the City a claim for damages in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, by reason of injury to his posidence property, situated as above indicated.

His property is on the corner of MAgnolia and Calhoun Streets, facing West and extending back along Magnolia Street to the right of way of the Santa Fe Ry. Co. Magnolia Street along side of his property is so graded that it causes his property to flow whenever there is anything like a heavy rain. On June 3, 1904 he was damaged in the above sum by reason of an over flow of said promises caused by this defect in the grading of Magnolia Street. At said time great quantities of water came over his premises, washing out the same and being upon his premises quantities of filth, trash and other substances liable to produce sickness. The Street at this place is in a very defective condition. This claim should be settled and the street put in a condition so that there will not be a repetition of such injury to said property.

He respectfully asks that this sum be paid him without litigation.
