January 11th 1936 Sat. The sun has been shining today & is some cooler. Rex & I wen't [went] to William's this morning we wen't to town this afternoon.

January 12th 1936 Sun. The sun has been shining and the wind has been blowing today. All of us wen't to William's about 12:00 o'clock except Rex & he wen't earlier this morning. We wen't to aunt Ida's funeral & burial at Bethel-ham this afternoon. Rev Frank preached the funeral.

January 13th 1936 Mon. Kate washed. I got dinner, cleaned up the house and sewed a little. Mr Tom Jones & John Marion ate dinner with us. I wrote a letter to mother today. I read some tonight. The sun has been shining today.

January 14th 1936 Tue. I ironed today and have done the general house work and patched some. I read some tonight.

January 15th 1936 Wed. I patched some, churned, got dinner, cleaned up the house and read some today. Basil ate dinner with us. It has been cloudy today & cooler.

January 16th 1936 Thu. I got dinner, cleaned up the house & sewed some today. I read some tonight. Jim came this morning. John Marion came a little while this afternoon.

January 17th 1936 Fri I cleaned up the house and waxed the floors today and got dinner. I read some tonight. I got a letter from mother today. Sis is spending the night at Mrs. William Rogers. It rained a little today & is raining tonight.

January 18th 1936 Sat I got breakfast, cleaned up the house & churned & Sis got dinner. I wen't to Mrs. Dossett's a little while this afternoon & Sis wen't to town. It snowed a little this afternoon.

January 19th 1936 Sun Loyd & Basil spent the day with us. Dock[?] spent the day at Loyd's & Sis at aunt Jessie's. Aunt Jessie isn't any better. Joseph came a little while tonight. The wind has been blowing today & it is real cold.

January 20th 1936 Mon I cleaned up the house & got dinner this morning. I wen't to see Leona this afternoon. She is some better. Rex & I played checkers tonight. I read some tonight also.

January 21st 1936 Tue. I got dinner, cleaned up the house, wrote a letter to mother & finished heming some tea-towels & dish cloths. I read some tonight. Amelia & John Marion came a little while this afternoon. Rex wen't to town today with a load of tobacco. Dock wen't to town also.

January 22nd 1936 Wed. I cleaned up the house, got dinner & supper & sewed some today. It has been turning cold all day & is awful cold tonight & the wind has been blowing today & also tonight.

January 23rd 1936 Thu I cleaned up the house, got dinner & supper & sewed some today and washed a few pieces. Earl came a little while this morning. It has snowed some today & is awful [awfully] cold.

January 24th 1936 Fri I cleaned up the house, got dinner & supper & sewed some today & read some tonight. It has been awful cold today and has snowed some late (inst) this afternoon.

January 25th 1936 Sat I got breakfast, helped clean up the house & dressed a chicken. Sis churned, washed some & got dinner. Ernest ate dinner with us. I copied the minutes in a new note book this afternoon & read some tonight. Sis & Dock wen't to Jim's tonight. Ernest, Dock & Rex wen't to town this afternoon.

January 26th 1936 Sun. It has snowed some today Today is Rex Birthday. He is 41 years old. William Ross & Earl spent the day with us. William Ross is 7 years old today. Basil come this afternoon. Sis cooked breakfast & I cooked dinner. I read some this afternoon & tonight. It has been real cold today.

January 27th 1936 Mon. I have done the general house work & finished reading "Under the Lilacs." Mr. Mevill came a little while this afternoon. It has been awful cold today.

January 28th 1936 Tue. I have done the general house work and read a good deal today. John Marion came a little while this morning. Rex & I have been married 3 years today.

January 29th 1936 Wed. I have done the general house work, churned and read a good deal today. It snowed some last night & a little today. Leona came a little while this morning & afternoon also. She wen't to Mrs. Sisk to a missionary meeting today (inst.) But, I didn't feel so well so I didn't go.

January 30th 1936 Thur. I wrote a letter to mother. Rex & I washed today & I have done the general house work. I have been nearly sick today Joseph came tonight. Joseph, Dock, Rex & I played Rook. We played 3 James and Rex & I didn't beat but 1 game. It is still awful (inst.) cold.
