January 31st 1936 Fri I have been nearly sick today. I ironed some today & Rex cooked dinner I finished reading "St. Elmo," today. I cooked supper tonight.

February 1st 1936 Sat Sis cooked breakfast & I cooked dinner & supper. Rex, Dock & Sis wen't to town this afternoon. I mended some clothes this afternoon. It snowed late this afternoon & tonight. I have been nearly sick today.

February 2nd 1936 Sun. The ground is covered in snow I cooked breakfast & churned & helped clean up the house this morning. Sis cooked dinner. Fletcher & cousin Will Wilson came this afternoon. Rex wen't to Earls' tonight. I packed[?] Sis treat for her school children tonight.

February 3rd 1936 Mon. Sis & Miss May's (inst.) school was out this morning. Sis wen't to town about 11:00 o'clock. I wrote a letter to mother & cooked dinner, dressed a chicken & cleaned up the house . I cooked supper also. It has been warmer today & most of the snow has melted.

February 4th 1936 Tue It rained a little last night & melted all the snow. I got breakfast & Sis got dinner & supper. I Havn't [haven't] don't [done] anything much but help do the general house work.

February 5th 1936 Wed Rex, Sis & I wen't to town this morning & Rex & Sis wen't to Miss Kate Green's funeral at the Baptist Church I wen't to Mrs. Mann's. Uncle Brack came to Mrs. Mann's after me & I went home with him & went to Mother's & Dad's & will stay a few days.

February 6th 1936 Thu I spen't the day with Mother & Dad. Mother & I wen't to see Uncle Brack a little while this afternoon. It has been pretty cold today. I cut out some quilt pieces today & pieced one block.

February 7th 1936 Fri It snowed a little last night . Dad wen't to town today. I have been nearly sick today. I have a bad cold. Ocie[?] & Amy Florance came this afternoon. I wen't to see Uncle Brack a little while (inst.) this afternoon. I pieced 6 blocks on my quilt today. Mother helped me a little.

February 8th 1936 Sat. Mr. Hartman, J.D. & Amy Florance came this morning. I pieced 4 blocks on my quilt today. Mother helped me a little. I wen't to see Uncle Brack a little while this afternoon late(inst). It has rained some this afternoon. My cold isn't much better.

February 9th 1936 Sun. It has been real cold today. Mother & I wen't to see Uncle Brack this afternoon. My cold is a little better.

February 10th 1936 Mon. I pieced 4 blocks on my quilt today. Dad & I wen't to ocie's this afternoon. I wen't to Uncle Brack's a little while also. Mother is nearly sick with a cold today. My cold is some better. It has been awful cold today.

February 11th 1936 Tue. Amy Florance & J.D. came a little while this afternoon & brought Mother Sis & I a Valentine. I wen't to see Uncle Brack this afternoon I pieced 4 blocks on my quilt today. Mother helped me a little. It is a little warmer today.

February 12th 1936 Wed. I wen't to see Uncle Brack this morning. Eble, J.D & Amy Florance came a little while this morning. Dad killed a shoat today. It has rained this afternoon & is raining tonight.

February 13th 1936 Thu. Uncle Brack brought me to Jessie's and I spen't the day with her. Rex came after me this afternoon and I came home.

February 14th 1936 Fri. I cut out quilt pieces today and helped do the general house work. Sis wen't to Mary's this afternoon and will stay a few days. I got a letter from Elizabeth today.

February 15th 1936 Sat I have done the general house work today. I wrote a letter to Mother. I worked on a puzzle today also.

February 16th 1936 Sun I finished working the puzzle and have done the general house work. Elma Wilson, Basil and Joseph came this afternoon.

February 17th 1936 Mon It snowed last night and has snowed some today. I have done the general house work. Basil came tonight and ate supper with us. Basil, Dock, Rex & I played Rook. Basil will spend the night.

February 18th 1936 Tue It has been awful cold today. Basil ate breakfast with us. I sewed some today and have done the general house work.

February 19th 1936 Wed I washed a few pieces, have done the general house work, churned & wrote a letter to Mother.
