March 31st 1936 Tue. Sis ironed this morning. I quilted this morning & ironed this afternoon. Loyd spen't the day with us.

April 1st 1936 Wed. It hailed real hard this morning & the wind blew & it rained. The hail tore Mr. Rigney's house roof up. Uncle Alonzo came this morning. Leona, Nealie & William Ross came this afternoon. [Written side ways.] I wrote a letter to Mother. Earl came tonight . Sis & I finished quilting her quilt this afternoon.

April 2nd 1936 Thu. It has snowed some today Mary Spen't the day with us. Madelyn & Peachie Rogers came a little while this afternoon. Joseph & Cousin Will Wilson came this afternoon also.

April 3rd 1936 Fri. It snowed some last night & a little this morning. It has been real cold today. I helped do the general house work & put some lace on some embroidery pieces.

April 4th 1936 Sat. I got breakfast & helped do the general house work. I worked on a dresser scarf this afternoon. Sis wen't to town this afternoon. Basil & Joseph came a little while tonight.

April 5th 1936 Sun. Stayed at home all day. Mr. & Mrs. Rigney & Mrs. Harris came this afternoon. It is raining tonight.

April 6th 1936 Mon. I got breakfast & helped do the general house work and read a good deal today. Rex wen't to town this morning.

April 7th 1936 Tue. I got breakfast & helped do the general house work. Kate washed for us today. I wen't to Leona's this afternoon & helped her & Elizabeth quilt. Rex wen't to Mother's & Dad's this afternoon and will spend the night.

April 8th 1936 Wed. I ironed this morning. Sis wen't to Mrs. Rigney's & helped quilt this afternoon. Leona & Elizabeth wen't also. Basil came this afternoon. Rex came home this afternoon. John Marion & Basil came tonight. John Marion, Dock, Basil & Rex played Rook.

April 9th 1936 Thu. I got breakfast and helped do the general house work. I have read a good deal today

April 10th 1936 Fri. I helped do the general house work nothing happened unusual. I read some today.

April 11th 1936 Sat. Sis wen't to town today & helped sell at the market. I made a cake, some soap, got dinner, churned & moped [mopped] the kitchen. Elizabeth started for Detroit today.

April 12th 1936 Sun. I got breakfast, dinner and cleaned up the house. Lawrence came this afternoon. Nora Lee, Amelia & Evelyn came a little while also. Sis wen't to Sunday school at Browden's & church at Elm Grove today.

April 13th 1936 Mon. Kate washed for us. I helped do the general house work. I wen't to Leona's this afternoon and helped her quilt.

April 14th 1936 Tue I ironed this morning Sis wen't to Leona's this afternoon and helped her quilt.

April 15th 1936 Wed Sis ironed this morning. I wen't to Leona's this afternoon & helped quilt. Mr. Slaton is sick Dr. Ross came to see him this afternoon.

April 16th 1936 Thu. Mr. Slaton isn't any better. I wen't to Leona's a little while this morning. Jim, Mr. Merrill. Mary, Ruby, Lin, Jessie & Mr. Wiley Hopgood & Evelyn came this afternoon. Ernest ate dinner with us. I wrote a letter to Mother.

April 17th 1936 Fri. Mr. Slaton isn't any better. Uncle Alonzo came this morning. I washed some windows & helped clean up the house. Loyd & Joseph came late this afternoon. Ernest ate dinner with us.

April 18th 1936 Sat. I got breakfast & helped clean up the house. Rex, Jim, Ernest & I wen't to town this afternoon. Mr. & Mrs. Mevill came tonight. Mr. Slaton isn't much better. Jim came this morning.

April 19th 1936 Sun. Sis wen't to Sunday School but I didn't go . Albert, Edna, Nora Lee, Jessie, Lin, Cousin Will, Cousin Ev. & Basil came this afternoon. Mr. Slaton is some better.
