April 20th 1936 Mon. Kate washed for us today. Sis wen't to town a little while this morning. Leona & Nealie came this afternoon & Sis sewed the binding on a quilt for Leona.

April 21st. 1936 Tue. Rex & I spen't the day at our Island home(inst.) & cleaned up one room & painted the ceiling. I got a letter from Mother.

April 22nd 1936 Wed. I ironed & helped do the general house work. Amelia & Mr. Mevill came this afternoon. Clarence James came a little while tonight & Rex wen't with him to Earl's. Earl isn't much better.

April 23rd 1936 Thu. I wrote a letter to mother. Rex & I wen't to the Island this afternoon(inst.) and I painted the ceiling in(inst.) one of the rooms.

April 24th 1936 Fri. Rex & I spen't the day at the Island & I washed Ernest dishes, painted a little and cleaned a little in the yard.

April 25th 1936 Sat. Rex & I wen't to town this afternoon and I wen't to Jessie's Lawrence is sick. He has the flu. Rex & I wen't to Mother's & Dad's late this afternoon & will spend the night.

April 26th 1936 Sun. Spen't the day with Mother & Dad Amy Florence & J.D. came to see us this morning and they wen't with me to Uncle Brack's Rex wen't also. I wen't to see Uncle Brack this afternoon. We came home this afternoon. 24 people came to see Mr. Slaton today. He is some better.

April 27th 1936 Mon. Kate washed. I ironed this afternoon Sis wen't with Mr. Mevill's folks fishing this afternoon Rex wen't to the Island. Henry Bailey Walker came to see Mr. Slaton this afternoon. Loyd, Modest Ruby and Joseph came this afternoon.

April 28th Tue. Rex & I spent the day at the Island and I put 2 coats of paint on my kitchen ceiling. Uncle Brack came today. Basil came also.

April 29th Wed. It has rained today. Uncle Brack spen't the day with us. Rex, Uncle Brack & I wen't to the Island this afternoon and I painted some.

April 30th Thu. Uncle Brack wen't home this morning. I walked to Loyd's this afternoon. I came back with Ruby & Joseph. They wen't to town.

May 1st Fri. I helped do the general house work. I wen't to Jim's this afternoon.

May 2nd 1936 Sat. Wrote Mother sewed some this afternoon. Sis wen't to town this morning. Rex wen't to the Island.

May 3rd 1936 Sun. Rex and I wen't to church at Liberty this morning. Sis wen't to Sunday School . Fletcher, Jim & Joseph came this morning. Earl, Leona, Uncle Alonzo, Lin & Jessie came this afternoon.

May 4th 1936 Mon. Kate washed. I wen't with Ruby, Modest, Mrs. Sharpe & Mrs. Robert McGregor to Carlington to Mrs. Sharpe's Home today. Mrs. Sharpe is selling her furniture and will live with her children. I bought several things.

May 5th 1936 Tue. I ironed this morning. I helped Sis clean out the hen house this afternoon. I wrote a letter to Mother. I got a letter from Mother. She is some better. She has had the flu.

May 6th 1936 Wed. Leona, Nealie, Cornell Rex & I wen't to the Island today and we got most of the kitchen papered. I wrote a card to Mother.

May 7th 1936 Thu. Stayed at home all day & helped do the general house work nothing happened unusual. Sis wen't to town this afternoon. Rex wen't to the Island today.

May 8th 1936 Fri. Nealie, Leona, Rex & i wen't to the Island today and we finished papering the kitchen moped [mopped] the floor & washed Ernest dishes.

May 9th 1936 Sat. Rex & I wen't to town today & I spen't the day with Eula Mattie. Neveline & her little boy were there also. I sen't Mother a Mother's Day card & Dad a birthday card.
