658 JOURNAL OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE Nov 16 1888 Tax Levy Seventh Street Ord #829 Ordered that a tax levy three hundred nine and one half (309&1/2) mills on each and every dollar of the assessed valuation of all the property included within the assessment District created by Ordinance No 829 be and the same hereby is levied on said property for the purpose of paying for the improvement of Seventh Street from Madison Street to Battery street in the City of Seattle. License Referred Eugene W Nay Seventh Street Tax Levy Ord 848# Ordered that a tax of 573 Mills on each and every dollar of the assessed valuation of all the property included within the assessment district created by Ordinance No 848 be and the same hereby is levied on said property for the purpose of paying for the improvements of Seventh Street from Mill Street to Madison Street in the City of Seattle. high tide at to junction with said King Street; That there are no buildings on any of the lots on either side of said Seventh Street for a distance of 120 feet north of said King Street except from old cabins, Wherefore your petitioner prays that he may be permited by you Humble Body to erect a suitable dwelling home for the occupation of himself and family in said Seventh Street.

To the Mayor and Commision Council of the City of Seattle; Your Petitioner O. Jensen respectfully represents, the for seven years last past he has occupied a dwelling house erected by himself at the foot of Wall St. in said City, That about three months ago he was favored by the action of your Honorable Body to move from said building, it being in said street; That your petitioner is unable to purchase land on which to erect a dwelling, and can lease no ground in a suitable location; That seventh street at the junction of King Street with said seventh street is not used for the purpose of traffic the ground being so broken that it is impossible for teams or horses to travel thereon That said seventh street sinks the line of ordinary
