Dear Madam
Your favor of 9th is received I have examined lot #3586 and make the following estimate of the expense necessary to put the lot in proper order
Sodding | $35-50 |
---|---|
Cleaning stone | 10.00 |
Repairing curb | 17.50 |
Myrtle | 5.00 |
[Total] | $68.00 |
This lot I believe has had no care since [18]77. That year it had care, plants and top dressing to the amount of $11.50 which charge I find still on the books against the estate of Mrs. Anne R. P. Burroughs from which I judge the bill must have been sent to the wrong parties
Very respectfully James W Lovering Supt per J.C.S.

Dear Sir
In regard to putting lots 3735-6 & 3825-6 in good order I find they are too far gone to seed down and that by far the best way will be to resod them.
That with the other repairs needed on the four lots I estimate will cost as follows viz
Resodding including care for [18]81 | $100.00 |
---|---|
Cleaning stones | 8.00 |
Resetting, clamping, & leading curb & borders | 40.00 |
[Total] | $148.00 |
Very respectfully James W. Lovering Supt pr J.C.S.

Dear Madam
Your favor of 11this received. To repair and straighten the fence will cost seven dollars ($700). The lot also wants resodding and the whole appearance of it would be greatly improved if fence were removed and the lot graded to correspond with the new land now being laid out in rear. To remove the fence regrade and sod the lot put all in good order and keep it so for one year will cost thirty five dollars ($3500/100) and old material.
There is one tree in the south west corner ought to come away.
Very respectfully James W Lovering Supt. pr J.C.S.
